Firearms Instructor Development Course

This course is designed for new and current firearms instructors. The course provides instruction on becoming an effective firearms instructor both in the classroom and on the range. The firearms instructor's role in the classroom and on the range is discussed. The development and implementation of appropriate firearms training programs is presented together with the knowledge and techniques necessary to instruct firearms to new and current officers. Both general and specific knowledge is presented on a variety of topics necessary for the firearms instructor to become effective in teaching and coaching firearms. Instruction regarding the handgun and the carbine are specifically addressed as well as a review of recent developments in firearms and related matters associated with firearms instruction.

Firearms safety programs
Effective communication
Lesson plans and training documentation
Methods of instruction
Fundamentals of handgun/rifle-carbine marksmanship
Combat tactical shooting techniques
Ballistics
Soft body armor
Firearms liability
Survival tactics and techniques
Weapon retention and take-away
Limited and low/no light shooting
Qualification courses
Range drills and exercises (coach/student relationship)

Tuition: $600.00 Per Person/ includes a Course Manual and 5 days practical application.


Equipment Required: 500 rounds pistol ammunition, 300 rounds carbine ammunition. 25 rounds trap or skeet, 25 rounds slug, 25 rounds buck, Duty pistol with holster, carbine, shotgun, soft body armor, flashlight, eye and ear protection.

Instructor: RON FRIGULTI Background: Ron is a former combat Marine. 25 years as an FBI Special Agent (Ret.). 17 years as Principal Firearms Instructor. 15 years FBI SWAT Sniper & Team Leader. FBI Certified Firearms Instructor.
