Patrol Carbine/Rifle Operators/  Instructor Course

2-Day Operator - 3rd Day Instructor
 

The officer/operators course will be conducted on May 28 and 29th.  The instructor course will add the additional day on May 30, 2008.  Officers may attend the first two days only or the entire course.  The operator's course provides instruction on the fundamentals of shooting the rifle/carbine.  Emphases is placed upon safely employing the weapon tactically while maintaining good marksmanship skills.  Detailed knowledge is provided regarding the nomenclature, operation, and maintenance of the weapon.  The third day of the course incorporates the development of instructor skills necessary for instructing this weapon system to officers.  Both classroom and range exercises utilizing the coach student relationship are utilized.

Safety and handling
Nomenclature and disassembly
Weapon maintenance and cleaning
Fundamentals of carbine/rifle shooting
Position shooting
Ballistics
Reloading and malfunctions
Moving target engagement
Transition to pistol
Carbine accessories


Tuition: $250.00 - Operator - $350.00 - Instructor includes a Course Manual and          2/3 days practical application.

Equipment Required: Personal Uniform and gear to include, Weapons,(Handgun/Shoulder Weapon) Ballistic Vest, Eye & Ear Protection, 50 rds Handgun Ammo, 500 rds Shoulder Weapon Ammo.

Instructor: RON FRIGULTI Background: Ron is a former combat Marine. 25 years as an FBI Special Agent (Ret.). 17 years as Principal Firearms Instructor. 15 years FBI SWAT Sniper & Team Leader. FBI Certified Firearms Instructor.
