2-DAY
Traditionally, law enforcement officers do not receive extensive training
in the use of the police shotgun. In addition, recent adoption of the
carbine or rifle for patrol officers has further diminished the role of
the police shotgun. The police shotgun remains law enforcements most
versatile weapon system. Law enforcement officers properly trained with
the shotgun remain appropriately armed to confront most hostile
encounters. This course is designed to give officers the confidence,
knowledge, and training with the shotgun necessary for effective
employment.
